Privacy Policy
Archaiv is a browser extension and service designed to help you preserve the web as you see it. We believe your digital library should be private, permanent, and under your control.
1. Data Collection & Capture
When you explicitly choose to save a page using the Archaiv extension, we capture the static assets required to reproduce that page faithfully: HTML, CSS, images, and fonts. This data is bundled locally on your machine and then securely transmitted to your personal account on our servers.
2. Data Usage
The content you save is used exclusively for the purpose of providing your archival service. We do not sell, share, or analyze your captured pages for advertising or data mining purposes. Your archive is yours alone.
3. Extension Permissions
To function correctly, the extension requires the following permissions:
- activeTab: Only used to access the page content when you click the capture button. We never monitor your browsing in the background.
- scripting: Used to execute the capture engine (SingleFile) within the context of the current tab to bundle assets.
- storage: Used to store your authentication session and local preferences.
4. Infrastructure & Third Parties
We leverage Google Cloud Platform for secure data storage and hosting. We do not share your information with any other third parties except when required by law or to provide the core functionality of the service (e.g., sending system notifications).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to delete any archived record at any time. When you delete a record from your dashboard, the associated data is permanently removed from our active database and storage buckets.
